The first assessment of the new Cambridge International A Level Chinese Language and Literature (9868) syllabus will be June 2024. We communicated this change to schools in June 2021. This change offers clearer progression routes based on learners' level of Chinese through closer alignment with the CEFR framework. We are withdrawing Cambridge International A Level Chinese (9715) to replace it with our newly designed Cambridge International A Level Chinese Language and Literature (9868) syllabus.
