I was really eager to try out my Huda Topaz Obsessions eyeshadow palette when I got it in Autumn, as a couple of years ago my friends Molly, Lora and Sophie purchased me a Huda Obsessions palette for my birthday – knowing it had been a formula that I had wanted to try for a while. The metallics do swatch well but when applied with a brush they aren’t the most pigmented shades, I find I do need to layer these up to get a more noticeable metallic finish, otherwise they lean towards more of a softer metallic sheen.However, one thing to note is that even thought I tried packing on the brown with a brush, the overall effect looked diffused and very blended. The only reason the neutral shade didn’t work is that it is too close to my skin tone to show up well. One of you lovely lot said you think my reviews could benefit with a ‘this is the product actually on my face’ photo and I find them so hard to get on my big DSLR camera and they look a little low res on my iPhone 8… however my iPhone 12 mini arrives today (on the day I’m writing this) so I’m hoping photos of the product on my face will start appearing soon! I was a little surprised because the Desert Dusk palette fell flat for me in terms of quality, but this one seems like leagues above in quality.
